kiCLINIC, from KIUBO, has been in the market since 2003 and is strong exactly where the Portuguese market is complicated: prescribing and diagnostic test requests certified by the health system authority, electronic billing to the public health service, and documentation for ADSE, the police and military health schemes. It also has deep verticals — dental radiography, occupational medicine. In exchange, it publishes no prices.
Partly different categories. On public health agreements and medical verticals, kiCLINIC does things we do not. Our electronic prescribing with the health service's PEM platform is integrated, with approval under way; billing agreements with the public health service, ADSE and the forces' schemes is not in our scope today.

We do not bill those bodies. What we have: insurer and health-scheme coverage (ADSE, Multicare…) recorded per service on the client record and deducted automatically from what the client is invoiced; public health service diagnostic code tables imported from the catalogue; and protocol-based invoicing for different price lists per partnership. If most of your volume is under public agreements, kiCLINIC is better prepared for that than we are today.
It is not public. The vendor describes two models — monthly rental with local installation, or purchase with paid upgrades — without figures. Ask for a dated quote, and ask for the cost of upgrades and support after the first period too.
It depends on what decides your purchase. If it is running the clinic — diary, packages, invoicing, communication — then yes. If it is certified prescribing, diagnostic requests or public agreements, then no, and this page says so at the top. If you do switch, data migration is free and we do it, not you: tell us what has to come across — clients, appointments, history, packages, invoicing — and before we start we will tell you what we can bring and what we cannot.
